Our after-school lessons are run by 4 coaches, split into teams of two.
We break these roles down into two lead coaches and two student coaches. One of the lead coaches will almost always be the head coach for the location and the student role may also be filled by a full-time or non-student member of staff.
The lead coach will be the more experienced of the two in the group and fitting into the student role will be the coach with the least working experience. When training coaches we can swap these roles to assess coaches’ ability to co-ordinate the group and implement the lesson plan effectively.
Please refer to the images below taken from our staff hierarchy of needs to see what the base expectations are of each staff member, and to get an idea of how the working relationship between the two roles should function.

Even though it is not described in the hierarchy of needs, we do appreciate feedback any staff member in any role may have in regard to our lessons programme as we are always excited to hear each person’s unique perspective and ideas.
We are always looking to improve our programmes and are happy to bring new tricks, techniques, challenges, conditioning, games, or any other ideas you may have that could fit in with our lessons structure.
