Start of Day Procedures


Objective

Open the building and get everything set up for the day.
Make sure the tramp park is clean, safe, and ready for customers.
Check and respond to emails, missed calls, and messages.


Equipment Required

  • TV & heater/fan remotes
  • Trampoline checklist & pen
  • Computer (with all tabs & apps running)
  • Web browser with saved tabs open
  • SITE mobile phone

1. Switch Everything On

Once inside:
• Head to the store room or under blue super and turn on the airbag switch.

• Switch on the reception area light, bathroom fans and lights, tramp park, and skate ramp/bowl lights

• Turn on all TVs (remotes in bottom right drawer of desk in Wanaka)
– Select USB storage
– Choose the image icon in QT or video in WK
– Press play to start slideshow of price screens

• If the building is cold, turn on the reception heater and the two heaters near the spring floor and viewing platform (remotes in the bottom left drawer of the reception desk)


2. Trampoline / Floor Check

• Grab the trampoline checklist clipboard from the reception desk and head to the trampoline floor

• Check each trampoline for:
– Damage to tramp bed
– All springs & strings are connected and not badly damaged
– String misplacement on super trampolines

• Note anything needing attention on the checklist
• Add basic cleaning tasks (e.g. wipe down beds or pads) to the daily task list in ASANA

• Walk through the trampoline park, skate ramp, and viewing platform
– Pick up rubbish if any
– Collect lost property if any
– Tidy anything missed during closing


3. Computer Set-Up

• Turn on the computer and log in (passcode: 7483)

• Open Chrome and ensure all required tabs are open
– Tabs are saved in the bookmarks bar for quick access
– Refer to the printed image near the till to ensure tabs are in the correct order

• Go to the Daily Capacity tab and select the current date to review the day’s schedule


4. Check Phone, Emails, and ROLLER Inbox

Phone:
• Check for missed calls, text messages, and voicemail notifications
• Call 707 to check voicemail – write down messages
• Press 5 to delete once finished
• Call back any customers as needed

Emails:
• Open the email tab and reply to customer enquiries
• If unsure how to reply, refer to the email section of the Floor Staff Training
• If a query is complex or you’re unsure, speak to a manager or leave a note for follow-up

ROLLER Inbox:
• Open the ROLLER tab and check for enquiries
• If about lessons, check availability in the “Lessons Sheets” tab
• If unsure what class suits them, call the customer for more information
• If classes are full, let them know and offer alternatives if possible


5. Serve Customers / Work on Tasks

Once emails, calls, and voicemails are handled:
• Check the ASANA tab for tasks
• Only mark tasks as complete once fully done

If customers arrive, they take priority over cleaning or admin work.
