Leave types and how to request leave

We have three types of leave. Sick days, Holiday (Paid days off), and leave (unpaid days off)

Sick days are not accrued until after 6 months of employment. Once you are eligible, you are entitled to 10 days per year. Even if you have not gained sick days, and you are unwell and need a day off, contact your manager as soon as you know you will not be able to attend your shift. If you are well enough, try to assist the manager in finding cover for your shift. If you are off due to covid, tell your manager, and also email Clea on accounts@sitetrampoline.co.nz so she can apply for covid relief funding for you.

Holiday pay must be pre booked a minimum of 2 weeks in advanced to be valid. Your manager may make exceptions for you but there are no guarantees. When you put in your request, it is important to understand that this is a request, and there is no obligation to grant the time to you. With that said, we have always been, and will continue to be flexible with time off and try to do what we can to ensure you can get your desired days off.

Leave follows all of the same rules as holiday, but you do not receive compensation for it. This is usually taken if you have not accrued time off yet or if you do not want to use your holiday pay.

To request leave in Humanity

  • To request leave click on the three bars in the bottom right on the navigation panel, then select leave.
  • Click the plus sign in the bottom right, then select your leave type.
  • Add the dates you will not be available and any additional notes you would like to leave in the notes section.
  • Once submitted you will see that your leave shows pending. Until it says approved, it is not approved. Bring this up with your manager if you feel it has not been dealt with in a timely manner.
