The tone to be used at SITE when writing emails

How do we make sure that all of our emails sound like they are coming from the same entity regardless of who is behind the keyboard?

A consistent base tone that is to remain prevalent during all written communication. In the future we will have a written out list of all of the vocabulary to use, but for now we just need to follow the themes below.

Mood

Happy

Calm

Professionalism

Semi-professional

This means don’t write like a lawyer, a poet, or a novelist, and don’t write the way you would text a mate. It should always be very simple to comprehend, direct, and well structured.

Perceptions

We want to convey a sense of; trust, deep domain knowledge, eagerness to provide information, and understanding.

Overall, the tone of our messaging should blend into the background and not come to the attention of our guests. If someone thinks, wow, this person is super well-spoken, or, he must have just been sending it on the tramps before writing this email, then the tone of the message has failed. It should not be memorable, just effective and relatively middle of the road.
